Job Title: Welder II

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Weld metal parts using gas welding and arc welding processes.
  • Perform tasks such as thermal cutting and grinding.
  • Repair broken or cracked parts, and modify metal components as needed.
  • Assemble and clamp together metal products before welding.
  • Inspect parts for adherence to specifications using blueprints and sketches.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on welding equipment.
  • Read and comprehend instructions and blueprints.
  • Weld specific metals including Inconels, stainless steel, and aluminum.
  • Use measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2-5 years of aerospace Tig welding experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Proficiency in welding specific metals and thicknesses.
  • Familiarity with measuring instruments.
  • Forklift certification is a plus.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift and move up to 50lbs.
  • Willingness to work in environments with moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to fumes or chemicals.
  • Ability to operate a forklift.
