Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Fiber Laser Welding System Sales/Product Manager located in Rockford, IL. Depending on the candidate and qualifications, this could be a hybrid position. The Fiber Laser Welding System Sales/Product Manager will be responsible for managing the Piranha Equipment line of welding systems, including welding machines, welding positioners, and other related equipment. The Fiber Laser Welding System Product Manager will work with engineering, production, and customers to drive product development and revenue growth.
Job Duties and Requirements
- Must be capable of explaining welding processes (Resistance, MIG, TIG, Arc).
- Must be able to accurately develop a comparison between welding process and provide technical input to the sales team to sell the Fiber Laser Welding Systems.
- Must be familiar with weld gun selection, specifying weld gun electrode design and spot distribution.
- Develop a national sales plan.
- Analyze and validate machine integration with manipulators and robotic welding.
- Develop and maintain formal process documents.
- Review and respond to customer inquiries and sales/marketing needs.
- Ability to multitask between multiple projects, meetings, and daily priorities.
- Manage proper inventory levels for the different welding products and models.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Comprehension of mechanical and control prints.
Education and Experience
• Working knowledge and expertise of welding process including but not limited to Arc, Brazing, MIG and TIG.
• Applicable Welding Certifications
• 3 years background in Technical, Proposal & Estimating; as well as Engineering and Weld System Design.
